Individual Project
This project represents a deep exploration into the aesthetics of traditional Chinese gardens, where I meticulously curated and designed a comprehensive environment that includes Chinese-style housing, interior spaces, and garden areas. I focused on integrating stylized assets to authentically recreate the ambiance of the Ming-Qing period.
Special attention was given to the thematic use of lighting, skillfully employed to evoke a sense of nostalgia and historical accuracy. The setting, deliberately chosen to reflect the Ming-Qing era, is richly detailed with period-appropriate props, furniture, and materials, each carefully selected to enhance authenticity.
The culmination of this project is a visually stunning video rendering, showcasing the intricately designed environment that immerses viewers in the serene and elegant world of a traditional Chinese house and garden.

Mood Boards
I started out with gathering referneces with all aspects (interrior, general landscape, hallways and garden views) to get a general idea of the assets I will be needing and how the space should be arranged.
After thorough analysis and drawing references from the document I found, titled “Art of Chinese Garden and Architecture,” I began constructing the space. This included the creation of one large pond, three tents, and seven rooms, thoughtfully arranged to optimize functionality and use of the available area. Additionally, I meticulously designed the layout of walls, corridors, and hallways to enhance the space's intrigue while also ensuring privacy.
Next, I introduced plants, rocks, and various props, including desks, tables, shelves, and ornaments, to serve as decorations. These additions were made to infuse dynamism into the space and give it a lived-in appearance. Furthermore, I carefully selected materials and textures to ensure they align with the historical and spatial context of the setting.
